Managing goal tag libraries

The goal tag library management interface is available under Workbench > Performance Management > Goals > Goal Tag Libraries. The following figure illustrates the Goal Tag Libraries page:

Goal tag libraries can have one of the following statuses: Draft, Published, or Disabled. The actions available for a library depend on its status:

This is an attention message.

To manage an existing goal tag library, you must be an owner of the library. Otherwise, you can see the library in the list, but no actions are available. If you need to edit a library but you are not an owner, contact the library's owner.

Editing a goal tag library

You can edit goal tag libraries that are in the Draft or Published status.

This is an note/information message.

Keep in mind that any changes you make to a published goal tag library will impact the workers who use the goal tag library in the system.

To edit a goal tag library, proceed as follows:

1. In the list of goal tag libraries, locate the library that you want to edit.

2. Click the three-dot icon at the far right of the row of the library, and then click Edit. The library opens at step 1 of the form: Tag library details.

3. Change the basic parameters of the library, such as its name, description, owners, and translations.

4. Click Next. You are directed to step 2 of the form Tags.

5. Edit the tags of the library:

   • Change the name, description, color, and translations of a tag

   • Add tags to the library using the Add tag button

   • Remove a tag by clicking Delete on the tag and confirming

   • Make a tag unavailable to workers without deleting it by disabling its Enable tag toggle

6. Click Next to move to step 3 of the form: Assignment.

7. Change the assignment of the library: add organizational units using the Organization field or remove a unit by clicking the X icon on its tag.

8. Click Save in the upper-right corner of the application window. Your changes are applied. For a draft library, you can click Publish instead to publish it.

Disabling a goal tag library

You can "retire" published goal tag libraries that are no longer needed without deleting them. When a library is disabled, workers can no longer use its tags in goals, but they still see the tags in existing goals.

To disable a goal tag library, proceed as follows:

1. In the list of goal tag libraries, locate the library that you want to disable.

2. Click the three-dot icon at the far right of the row of the library, and then click Disable library. A confirmation message is displayed.

3. Click Yes. The library is disabled, and its status is updated in the list.

This is a tip message.

You can re-enable a disabled goal tag library. To do so, click the three-dot icon of the library, select Enable library, and confirm. The library returns to the Draft status. Review it and publish it again to make it available to users.

Deleting a goal tag library

If you are an owner of a goal tag library, you can delete it when it is in the Draft or Disabled status. To delete a published library, disable it first, as described in Disabling a goal tag library.

If you delete a library that was previously used in the system, all given and received tags from that library will be removed.

To delete a goal tag library, proceed as follows:

1. In the list of goal tag libraries, locate the library that you want to delete.

2. Click the three-dot icon at the far right of the row of the library, and then click Delete library. A confirmation message is displayed.

3. Click Yes. The library is deleted from the system.
