Creating a goal tag library
Within the PaySuite application, you can create goal tag libraries containing any number of tags that users will then be able to apply when creating goals for themselves or for other workers. These tags offer a quick and easy way for the workers in your organization to categorize goals within a single goal plan.
The Goal Tag Libraries page lists the existing libraries with their name, creation date, owners, and status. For more information about the management of existing libraries, refer to Managing goal tag libraries.
Step 1 - Tag library details
To create a goal tag library, proceed as follows:
-
Click the Create tag library button in the top-right corner of the page. The following Create tag library form opens at the first step: Tag library details:
Tag library creation form
Enter a name for the library in the Library name field. This field is mandatory. Give the library a descriptive name that will enable you to easily identify it in the list of goal tag libraries.
Enter a description in the Library description field. The description is displayed under the library name when users create, edit, or view a goal, so use it to explain what the tags of the library have in common.
Select additional owners in the Library owners field by entering their name and then selecting the person in the search results. If you do not add additional owners, only you will be able to manage the library.
If your organization uses several languages, select a language in the Translations drop-down list, and then enter the library name and description in that language. Repeat this operation for all the languages that you want to support. The drop-down list shows how many languages are translated, and the default language is marked (Default).
Click Next in the progress widget to move to step 2: Tags.
Step 2 - Tags
Once you have entered the basic information of the library, you can add its tags.
To add tags to the library, proceed as follows:
-
Enter a name for the tag in the Tag name field. This field is mandatory. Use a descriptive name, because this is the label that users see next to the tag checkbox when creating or editing their goals. If possible, beqom recommends that you limit the name to 2-3 words, for instance:
Adding a name of the tag
Enter a description in the Tag description field, for example, the context in which the tag should be used. Users see this description when they hover over or focus the tag on the goal form, and under the tag name on the goal overview page.
Choose a color for the tag among the available colors.
Make sure that the Enable tag toggle is enabled. Only enabled tags are offered to users once the library is published.
Click + Add tag and repeat steps 1-4 to add more tags. To remove a tag, click Delete on the tag and confirm.
If your organization uses several languages, select a language in the Translations drop-down list, and then repeat steps 1-2 to enter the tag names and descriptions in that language.
Click Next to move to step 3: Assignment. This button is available once the library contains at least one enabled tag and each enabled tag has a name in the default language.
Step 3 - Assignment
After you have added tags to your library, you are ready to assign the library to workers in your company.
To assign the library to one or several organizational units, proceed as follows:
In the Organization field, start typing the name of the organizational unit that you want to add, and then click the unit in the list of results. The number of people to whom the library is assigned is displayed under the field.
-
Repeat step 1 for all the organizational units to which you want to assign the library. Search for All company to assign the library to your entire organization at once, as shown below:
Library assigned
If you select a unit that is already included in another selected unit, a message informs you. To remove all selected units, click Clear filters.
Click Publish in the progress widget. A confirmation message is displayed.
Click Yes. The library is published, and workers who belong to the selected organizational units can use it in their goals, provided that the goal type uses it.
